Adult Education

Our Adult Ed programs stem from a desire for lifelong learning and continuous spiritual growth. Along with our weekly Hamlets, St. Mark’s offers seasonal online and in-person adult education opportunities. Online offerings typically occur on a weekday evening, often during Advent and Lent. In-person sessions occur sometimes on weekday evenings, but mostly after our Sunday morning worship service. Here are some examples of Adult Ed topics and studies: A journey through the Book of Acts, meditating with and on the Stations of the Cross, Disability and the Church: Called to Be Church of All and For All,  book studies: What is the Bible? by Rob Bell, Mere Christianity by CS Lewis. Racial Justice Education-Sacred Ground

St. Mark’s is committed to provide anti-racist educational opportunities for its members and to build the Beloved Community. As such it participates in the Episcopal Church’s ‘Sacred Ground’ curriculum which studies the issue of race and racism in the United States. If you have questions about the Sacred Ground curriculum or are interested in joining a newly forming Sacred Ground circle, please contact Thérèse Carmona: theresec@stmarks-cityheights.org or use the form below.
