Where We Are
St. Mark’s is located in City Heights. We are in an ethnically diverse and apartment-dense, working-class neighborhood where over 45 different languages are spoken. Our worship area occupies a space which was once a Vietnamese Karaoke Coffee Shop, located on Fairmount Avenue, just south of El Cajon Blvd.

Indigenous Land Acknowledgement
St. Mark’s Episcopal Church recognizes that it sits on the ancestral homelands of the Kumeyaay people. We pay respect to Kumeyaay elders both past and present, and we celebrate their continuing contributions to the life of this region.
A Land Acknowledgment is a formal statement that recognizes the history and legacy of colonialism that impacted Indigenous Peoples, their traditional territories, and practices.
Acknowledgment is a way of showing respect and a step toward correcting the stories and practices that erase Indigenous people’s history and culture and toward inviting and honoring the truth.
