We’re looking for a volunteer to help with getting items from the San Diego Food Bank and the restocking of our food pantry.
Purpose of Position: To support St. Mark’s staff and volunteers by ensuring the food pantry remains well-stocked, organized and ready to serve the community.
Location: St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, City Heights located at 4227 Fairmount Ave San Diego, CA 92105
Time Commitment: Tuesdays from 8:30 am to 11:30 am (3 hours a week*)
Reports to: Sexton – Robin Cheeney
Duties:
- Safely load, transport & unload food boxes from the San Diego Food Bank to St. Mark’s pantry.
- Assist with pantry inventory.
- Follow safety guidelines and standard operating procedures.
- Help maintain a welcoming and supportive environment.
Skills and Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and move goods, sometimes for extended periods.
- Work effectively with a diverse team of staff and guests.
- Reliability and commitment to scheduled shifts.
