Adult Education
Our Adult Ed programs stem from a desire for lifelong learning and continuous spiritual growth. In pre-pandemic times, we met for an hour on Sunday mornings before our worship service. More recently, we have met on-line on a weekday evening. St. Mark’s Adult Ed covers a wide range of topics. Here are some examples of more recent studies: A journey through the Gospel of Matthew, meditating with and on the Stations of the Cross, book studies: Barking to the Choir: The Power of Radical Kinship by Gregory Boyle, Witnessing Whiteness: The Need to Talk About Race and How to Do It by Shelly Tochluk. Racial Justice Education-Sacred Ground
St. Mark’s is committed to provide anti-racist educational opportunities for its members and to build the Beloved Community. As such it participates in the Episcopal Church’s ‘Sacred Ground’ curriculum which studies the issue of race and racism in the United States.
