Children’s Formation
Children of all ages are invited to gather in our social hall on Sundays at 10:15 a.m. for weekly formation. The formation curriculum we use is the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, which seeks to deepen each child’s relationship with God. It includes encounters with the Bible, our Episcopal tradition, and our story as people of God in a child-appropriate hands-on way.
After formation, children rejoin their parents in the sanctuary for communion and the remainder of the service. For questions or further information, please contact our Children’s Formation lead, Kathleen Ide: kathleenide@cox.net or complete the form below.
Testimonials
“My children, ages 4 and 9, LOVE Children’s Formation with Ms. Kathleen. They actually look forward to going to church! Ms. Kathleen always has an engaging and hands-on lesson for the children. Every Sunday, as they are painting, or traveling through the Holy Land, or planting mustard seeds, they are developing an understanding of faith and a relationship with God.”

“Kathleen Ide has been a blessing to our family. Each week, she finds unique and creative ways to engage our son, age 6, in biblical lessons. Moreover, she brings our son a sense of belonging to the community of faith. Nowadays, Theodore doesn’t just call church a place, and Kathleen a teacher, but he calls it “my church”, and considers her a part of his family that he looks forward to each and every week.”
