Food Pantry
Food Pantry Hours: Wednesdays & Thursdays
11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
St. Mark’s partners with Feeding San Diego and the San Diego Foodbank to offer a variety of healthy, nutritious foods to our food-insecure neighbors. We also receive in-kind and financial donations from sister parishes in our Episcopal Diocese of San Diego, community members and parishioners.
The pantry is open to anyone in need and offers a variety of shelf stable foods (e.g., bagged, boxed, and canned goods such as rice, pasta, oatmeal, peanut butter, soup, etc.) as well as an assortment of fresh produce.
Volunteers are needed on pantry days: every Wednesday and Thursday between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. and on Tuesday mornings.
Typical food pantry volunteer tasks include: receiving and sorting food deliveries & donations, stocking the pantry, fresh produce bagging, preparing/assembling donation bags, greeting and interacting with guests, checking in guests via a computerized system, registering first-time guests, handing out food, general tidying up.
