The Season of Creation 2026 invites us to do something essential: to pause, reflect, understand and renew our relationship with our Creator and all creation. We join our siblings in the ecumenical family in prayer and action for our common home and we are all encouraged to take time to care for creation. 🌍
This year we will be guided by the vision of the prophet Ezekiel (47:1–12): a river flowing from the temple of God, which grows without stopping and brings life where everything seems barren.
Water heals, restores, and makes creation flourish. But it also challenges us: to recognize ecological damage (as recently seen in Nepal and Tibet), to embrace our interconnectedness, and to immerse ourselves in the responsibility of caring for and restoring our Common Home.
St. Mark’s will observe the Season of Creation September 13 – October 4, ending with Mass on the Grass with Blessings of the animals on the Feast of St. Francis, Patron Saint of ecology and animals.

May this Season of Creation be a path for the healing of the Earth and human well-being to flourish together.
