Hello again and welcome to St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in city Heights.
Last Sunday at our service I talked about how the Easter season is not a time to take a nap after the busyness of Holy Week but a season for us to go out and share the Resurrected Lord with those in the world around us. We have a busy few weeks coming up at St. Mark’s, due to the success of our Wholeness Campaign, and thank you once again to everybody who supported us in prayer, financially and in many different ways, thank you for your support. Our next phase is to hold a Design Charette. What is a Design Charette? It is a chance on Saturday May 21st for you all to be invited to come to St. Mark’s, as we look around our building and see how we can fit in the various projects and the various parts of what we have raised money for. What will the family room look like? What will the kitchen look like? Where could showers possibly go? How can we best use the space that God has given us to use and you have supported so well during the Wholeness Campaign. So please do mark your calendars for Saturday May 21st between 10 and 2 p.m. and come and be part of our Design Charette.
And then we will be celebrating the Wholeness Campaign on Pentecost Sunday and that will also be the last Sunday that Fr. Mark is with us. So please come and join us for lunch after the service and for a wonderful celebration. If you are at St. Mark’s you will already be with us, but if you are reading this from another parish or somewhere else then please know that you are welcome to join us for lunch, and we would love to see you after the service: Sunday the 5th of June, Pentecost Sunday as we celebrate the success of our Wholeness Campaign and say goodbye to Fr. Mark and his family.
Please do keep those two dates in your diary.
God bless you all.
Fr. Richard
